With a load capacity of approximately 10kg, The PIXAPRO Heavy-Duty Reclined Boom Stand is perfect for use with heavier lighting and modifier combinations. The boom is perfect for positioning your lighting overhead or placing them into positions not possible with traditional lighting stands. The angle of the lights on the boom can be easily adjusted from ground level using its unique crank-handle mechanism, eliminating the need to lower your light, or to stand on a stool or ladder. The Heavy-Duty Reclined Boom Stand has been designed from the ground up, to meet the demands of working professional studio photographers and videographers everywhere. Made from highly durable cast iron, the Heavy-Duty Reclined Boom Stand can take loads of up to 10kg. This makes this stand perfect for use with heavier lights, or larger modifiers.

The Boom Arm

This stand features a Two-Sectioned Cast-Iron boom arm, that can be extended between 150cm and 260cm, making it great for positioning your light centred above or below camera position without the stand main central column getting in the way. Perfect for use hair lights or for clamshell and butterfly (Paramount) lighting setups.

Unique Crank Handle Mechanism

The Heavy-duty Reclined Rotatable stand features a Crank-Handle at the back of the boom, enabling you to adjust the angle of your light from ground level. The crank handle is connected to the spigot holder via a series of gears and shafts, to enable you to adjust the angle of the light, without needing to lower the boom arm or stand on a stool or ladder.

Interchangeable Spigot Mount

The PIXAPRO Heavy-Duty Reclined Boom stand ships with a standard 5/8” spigot with 3/8”-16 thread at one end, and a 1/4”-20 thread at the other. The Spigot also features one flat side for a greater grip surface. This prevents your lights or accessories from rotating whilst in use.

Sturdy Reliable Professional Stand

The Boom mechanism is all supported by a rugged Cast-Iron Stand with a 1-1/8-inch Junior-Pin Receiver built into the top of it. The stand has a minimum working height of 150cm and can be extended up to a maximum height of 2.35m. Perfect for positioning your lights high above your subject

Smooth Rolling Caster Wheels

This stand also features smooth-rolling caster wheels which allow you to effortlessly manoeuvre with the stand around the studio. Each caster features independently locking brakes, enabling you to lock the stand in place, so that it doesn’t move once it is in position.

5kg Pre-Filled Sandbag

The Heavy-Duty Reclined Boom Stand ships with a 5kg pre-filled sandbag, designed to counter-balance the weight of the lighting at the other end of the boom to prevent the stand from tipping over. This heard-wearing sandbag is made from heavy-duty canvas material, filled with metal ball bearings.
